Tuph Week but Solid Ending phor the Philz

After starting that always hopeful undefeated season (just kidding) on Monday, the Philz drop the next two to Washington. Wednesday night was a crushing 7-3 loss. Worrel takes the loss but some brightness showed when Pat Burrell knocked one out of the park.
Thursady night was a close one, 5-4 Washington advantage. This game was 10 innings of the Philz leaving men on base at the end of the innings. Loss goes to Randy Cormier.
Friday against St. Louis was the same result, a loss delivered to Philadelphia: compliments of Ryan Madson. The Philz gave up 5 runs in the last 3 innings. That's Philadelphia sports for ya.

Now on a brighter note, on Saturday the Philz found some young talent in right hander Gavin Floyd. This young "Ace" retired 19 straight batters at one point in the ball game taking Philadelphia to a 10-4 win. "So what" you say, "19 batters, so he had a good day, big whoop". Well ladies and gents, tat 19 batters came from the most dominant line-up in the Major League. Edmonds, Walker, Pujols, Nunez, and Rolen are not names that come from the sad end of this kind of story, but Gavin Floyd had no problem showing them the way. So the win showed some good signs for the futre of ourt bullpen after all. The Philz (2-3) will have to pick it up now get us that penant.
